What the Cluck?! Michael Buble, Amy Poehler and Jimmy Fallon Cover Fun.’s “Some Nights”

What the Cluck?!

Earlier I said I wanted to be Michael Buble when I grow up. I still stand by that statement, but would consider being Jimmy Fallon or Amy Poehler as well.

Michael Buble Performs “Who’s Lovin’ You” in NYC Subway

When I grow up, I want to be Michael Buble.

“Holly Shit Balls, Mom!”

That’s a great acoustic performance of “Who’s Lovin’ You” by Michael Buble and his band, Naturally 7, in New York City Subway.

His albums are generally hit and miss in terms of song choice and his take on the songs, but I’m thoroughly enjoying his new album, To Be Loved. I particular love his cover of “Who’s Lovin’ You” – the studio/album version is ace. And the lead single, “It’s A Beautiful Day” has really grown on me.

Really, when I grow up, I want to be Michael Buble.

And “Holly Shit Balls, Mom!” is from this awesome clip:

New Music: Michael Buble – “It’s A Beautiful Day”

Ok, initially  I wasn’t too keen on Michael Buble’s new song, “It’s A Beautiful Day”. It’s a good and catchy pop song. I’m not a big fan of standards, but I really like them when Michael sings them. I like his delivery and his spin on them. And it’s very evident in this song.

It’s a grower, and a great song. I felt the same way about “Haven’t Met You Yet”. They’re great songs… but something is missing. And I think I just prefer the slower, emotional ballads like “Home”, and “Lost”. Those two songs are on my list of all-time favorite songs.

I’m coming around to the upbeat and peppy Buble, but I think his gift is the way he emotes in his music, his honesty, vulnerably  and the way in which he sings about being down and brokenhearted. And I kind of miss that.

I like “It’s A Beautiful Day” and “Haven’t Met You Yet”, but will take “Home” and “Lost” on repeat any day of the week.

“It’s A Beautiful Day” is the lead single from Buble’s upcoming album, To Be Loved, which will be released later this month. Here’s an album trailer:

Definitely looking forward to hearing many of the songs, including Buble’s take on “Who’s Lovin You”, “You’ve Got A Friend In Me”, “To Love Somebody”, and most of all, “Have I Told You Lately That I Love You”.
