Meiko’s New Album – Get involved!

One of my favorite singer-songwriters, Meiko, is making a new album, and here’s your chance to get involved!

I’ve seen her live several times, and she’s amazing. She’s got a killer voice, and is quite the songwriter. She’s also very witty and hilarious – her stage banter and storytelling is top notch. It’s probably my favorite part of her live shows! And lucky for you, she’s currently on tour with Marie Digby… and yes, you should def. see them! If you’re in LA, she’ll be at The Troubadour (one of my favorite venues) on March 1st!

She’s had a lot of awesome life-changes this past year, both personal and professional. She’s working on her next album, which she’s doing independently, and I’m stoked. She’s doing it through Pledge Music — I’ve already pitched in and you should too!

New Album Announcement!I’ve started recording a new record! It’ll be my first TRULY independent album release since 2007! Please watch this video for all the info, and then go to to pre-order the album & grab other exclusive items! I’m so excited to share these new songs (and the whole recording process) with you!

Kris Allen – “The Vision Of Love”, “My Weakness” and “Loves Me Not”

Kris Allen  released his sophomore album, Thank You Camellia this past March, and I never got around to posting the album’s lead single, a great tune called “The Vision of Love”, so here it is.

Thank You Camellia has several really great songs, including, “Fighters”, “Leave Me Alone”, and my two favorite tracks, “Loves Me Not” with Meiko, and “My Weakness”. I really think “My Weakness” could have been a great radio single, it’s catchy and was an instant favorite from the album. And actually, “Loves Me Not” would also be a great single from the album. If only…

Since releasing the album, Kris has parted ways with his management team and record label, but I think that’s a good move. He’s clearly a talented singer-songwriter and could succeed by himself, without any influence from a major record label. I wouldn’t be surprised if he signs with a smaller indie record label, or even self-releases more music soon. He’s one of my favorite pop/singer-songwriters, and I’m really curious to hear new material from him soon.
