Hozier Releases Charity Single, “Cherry Wine”

In the past two years, I’ve probably been to more Hozier shows than any other artists. I’ve seen him at KCRW’s “It’s A School Night,” at The Hotel Cafe, a few small intimate shows, twice at the 2015 iHeartRadio Music Festival in Vegas… I’m basically saying I’m a massive fan.

I love the poetic storytelling of his music – it’s very Irish of him. He was born on St. Patricks Day after all.

“Cherry Wine” is one of my favorite songs from him, and I’m excited he’s releasing this live version as a charity single. It’s the best 1.29 you’ll spend today! You’re helping a great cause and you get an awesome song as well.

Proceeds go to end domestic violence. I’m also a massive fan of Saoirse Ronan – she’s such an amazing actress.

Hozier Shares Stunning Video for “Work Song”

Suffice it to say that I’m a huge fan of Hozier, and that he’s amazing live. I saw him 5 times in 2014, and his song “Work Song” was always one of the standout songs live. The clapping, melody and lyrics are just captivating and I’ll say it, spiritual.

The music video is beautiful and just perfect. I genuinely hope more people listen to his album and that he has another radio hit – he’s so much more than “Take Me To Church.”

If you haven’t picked up his eponymous album, you’re missing out! Check out “Work Song,” “To Be Alone,” “Sedated,” “From Eden,” and “Angel of Small Death & The Codeine Scene” for starters.
