New Music Videos: Ed Sheeran – “Drunk”

Ed Sheeran is having a massive week.

His album, + (Plus), is back on top of the UK album charts. Well done! It’s a brilliant album! He’s made an EP available in the US… be sure to check it out!

He released the music video for his next single, “Drunk”, one of the many standout tracks on his album.

And he’s in the US playing three sold-out shows, including one if our favorite venue, Hotel Cafe this Thursday. He’ll be back in the US supporting Snow Patrol on their tour.

Here’s the official music video for “Drunk”:

And the unofficial tour montage video:

And since Ed is fantastic live, here’s his performance of “Drunk”on Graham Norton‘s show:

Hopefully we’ll be seeing more of him in the US, and soon!

One of our Favorites: Ed Sheeran – “Small Bump”

Ed Sheeran (website/twitter/facebook) is a fantastically multi-talented singer-songwriter from the UK.

His debut album, + (Plus), topped the UK charts as well as three singles in the top 5, “A-Team”, “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You”, and “Lego House”.

He is definitely original, combining elements of traditional singer-songwriter elements with pop, hip-hop, and even beat boxing into his songs. His album is quite diverse, ranging from ballads to hip-hop influenced tracks; there’s something for everyone.

And he’s making his way across the pond and onto the US. He released an EP, The A Team EP is the US, as well as his iTunes Festival EP.

He’s also playing two shows in NY, and one in LA at Hotel Cafe… all three are sold out (unfortunately, I missed out on snagging a ticket to the Hotel Cafe show… super bummed).

He’s also opening for Snow Patrol on their upcoming US tour. (Here’s a list of all his live shows)

Hopefully, his album, +, will get a proper release in the US soon. It’s really fantastic!

Here’s a live version of my (current) favorite Ed Sheeran song, “Small Bump”.

New Music Video: Ed Sheeran – “Lego House”

Ed Sheeran  is one of my new favorite UK singer-songwriters.

I’ve been listening to his album, + (Plus), for the past few weeks, and still can’t quite describe him. His style is eclectic – including typical singer-songwriter songs, some beat-boxing, and even some rap verses. There’s a bit of Jason Mraz, James Morrison, Plan B, with hints of David Gray and Damien Rice. He’s great.

He has officially released two singles in the UK, “The A-Team” and “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You”, with each cracking the top 5 in the singles chart. His album, +, debuted at the top albums spot.

The album is new, refreshing, and diverse and one of my recent favorites.

The third single from the album is a track called “Lego House”. Fellow ginger, Rupert Grint (Ron Weasley from Harry Potter), stars in the video:

And since I haven’t posted these videos, here are the official music videos for “The A-Team” and “You Need Me, I Don’t Need You”.

These two songs show the diversity and depth of Ed’s style. They are definitely two of the better tracks on the album. Other standout tracks include, “The City”, “Drunk”, “U.N.I.” and my favorite, “Small Bump”.
