Jarryd James

Jarryd James Finally Releases Debut Album, “High” & “1000x” with Broods

Exactly a year ago I was fortunate enough to catch the incredible Jarryd James at The Troubadour! The Aussie singer-songwriter finally FINALLY released his debut album in the US this past week, and I highly recommend it!

The album includes an update of “Do You Remember” with a verse from Raury, which is on point! The album also includes “1000x” with Broods, who are another one of my faves! I really love that song.

I also really love the title track, “High,” as well as “Claim My Love” which was co-written with Mikky Ekko.

Surprisingly, the album doesn’t include two songs from his self-titled EP, “Give Me Something” which I had on repeat for weeks, and “Regardless” with Julia Stone, that reminds me of BANKS.

Back to “1000x” – I seriously love this song. And I can’t wait to hear it when I see them both, soon! Do yourself a favor and pick of both their albums, and tickets to see them on tour!

Miro’s 52 Songs of 2014

As 2014 is coming to an end, here are the 52 songs that defined the year for me. These are the songs that resonated with me and some I had on repeat for days on end.

There were several albums that dominated my listening this year, (and I’ll post my albums of 2014 soon), so I limited this playlist to one song per artist. Also, I chose Spotify as the means of creating this list, so Taylor Swift is not on it, but otherwise, “Blank Space” would be included on this list.

In no particular order, here are the 52 songs that defined 2014 for me:

What were songs that you enjoyed in 2014 that weren’t on my list?
