FINALLY! New Bastille Single – “Good Grief”

To say that I’m a massive fan of Bastille would be an understatement! I’m stoked for their new album, Wild World, out 9/9.

The lead single from the album, “Good Grief,” is quite different from what I expected. It took me a few listens to really get into it – and I’m really digging it. I was expecting a darker/heavier sound, which seemed like the direction the band was heading into, with “Hangin'” and “Skulls.” But I suppose this is the right sounds to launch their sophomore-ish album.

Bastille Share Album #2 Update!!!

Bastille just gave us an update on Album #2! I’m beyond stoked for this.

Posted by Bastille on Thursday, February 11, 2016

Really though, the update is that they’re still working on it, and Dan Smith talks a bit about the differences between recording their debut album, Bad Blood, and the as-yet unnamed follow up.

Though to be fair, they’ve released a few mixtapes and a handful of songs. But I’m beyond stoked to hear this new album.

Here’s the newest song from the lads, “Hangin'” which they released a few months back.

Foxes Giving Me All The Feels on Acoustic Version of “Devil Side”

I’ve been listening to Foxes new album, All I Need, and am really loving it. It’s a great pop album. I was OBSESSED with “Better Love” and think it’s one of the best pop songs of the last few years. (I might be slightly biased as Dan Smith from Bastille co-wrote and does backing vocals on it).

I also really love “Amazing,” “Body Talk,” “Feet Don’t Fail Me Now” and “If You Leave Me Now.” When Foxes shared “Devil Side” a few weeks ago, I fell madly in love with the lyrics and the sentiment of the song. It’s such a beautiful song. And this version, this acoustic version is just amazing. I can’t get over how incredible her vocals are and how great this song is. It’s really a timeless song.
