Cover: PS22 meets Adele’s “Rolling In The Deep”

It was only a matter of time!

John Legend did it (video). David Cook did it (video). And now, PS22 has done their own beautiful rendition of Adele‘s “Rolling In The Deep”.

Denise, the girl singing lead is really belting it out! She’s great! She even adds her own phrasing. I also love that she says “shit” and that it’s not censored. Go Denise and PS22!

Adele Rules the World

Maybe not the entire world (yet!), but Adele‘s  fantastic, amazing, brilliant, ace, masterpiece, wonderful, and exceptional album 21 is dominating the album charts.

It was announced that 21 sold over 350,000 copies to claim the #1 spot in the Billboard top 200, making it her first #1 album in the US. Her debut album, 19, peaked at #10 in the US, making 21 her highest charting album. The much anticipated album was released a month earlier in the UK, which may have caused a decrease in US album sales. Nonetheless, the album is fantastic, selling well, and more importantly, is very well received by the US.

And her reign in the UK continues.

Last week Adele broke a record previously held by the Beatles in 1964, when she had two singles and two albums in the top 5.

This week, her smash hit, “Someone Like You” held on to the top spot, as did 21, giving her the #1 album and #1 single. In addition to that, her debut album 19 jumped to the #2 spot – giving her both the #1 and #2 album in the UK.

21 has hit the #1 slot in 11 different charts around the world.

Here’s her amazing performance of “Someone Like You” from the BRIT Awards. It’s by far one of the best performances EVER. And a brilliant introduction/wrap up by James Corden.

I’ve said it before, but 21 is my favorite album of 2011. It’s nearly impossible to top.

Long Live Adele!

Adele on Chelsea Lately

Last night two of my favorites joined forces when Adele sat down with Chelsea Handler on Chelsea Lately.

I’m a HUGE fan of Chelsea Handler and her comedy/books. I’m also a super massive fan of Adele and have been since before 19 was released. And yesterday’s episode/interview was amazing.

One of the things I love about both women is that they are honest, blunt, and real – they tell it like it is. It was great to see Adele do an interview – she’s got a fantastic voice and is a brilliant song writer, but we’ve seen her singing on every show this past week. It’s great to see her fantastic sense of humor and unpolished personality come out. She’s so charming, in a fresh and real way. I love her voice and laugh when she gets excited or thinks she’s funny!

It’s a great interview and very entertaining stories about Sarah Palin, Tina Fey, Puff Daddy, and ginger men/women. Adele and Chelsea are great and super funny.

Adele also called Chelsea a Bitch! ha!

It looks like Adele’s latest album, 21, is headed straight to the top the album charts in the US this week. In the UK, 21 held on to the top spot for a second week, and her debut album, 19, took the #2 spot. Adele’s song, “Someone Like You” also stayed put at #1 on the singles chart.

I’ve already said it before, but 21 is my favorite album of 2011. It’s going to be difficult to top it – it’s amazing.
