Panic! At The Disco Finally Share Studio Version of Queen’s “Bohemian Rhapsody” on “Suicide Squad” Soundtrack

I love me a cover, really I do. But when I hear that a band is covering Queen, I’m super hesitant. Especially if it’s “Bohemian Rhapsody,” that’s such an iconic and strange song.

But Panic! At The Disco have been covering it at their live shows for a few years now, and it’s nothing short of exceptional. Brendon Urie might be one of my favorite frontmen in punk-pop. He’s such a charismatic lead singer, and he has pipes! I’ve seen him/them live a few times this past year and they’re always on-point and it’s always a party. (I’m sure I’m all over their upcoming Artist Den taping… whoops. I’m a fan, no shame!)

I think that the live version of this worth a listen, and better than this studio version. Maybe I’m biased as I’ve seen them play this a few times. Either way, this is a risky cover to put out on an album, but it’s a great addition to the soundtrack for Suicide Squad, which is packed with amazing songs. Side note: shoutout to “Heathens” by twenty one pilots, which is doing amazing on the charts right now!

What do you think of the cover?

OneRepublic Kids Ryan Tedder

OneRepublic Release Another Hit Song, “KIDS”

It doesn’t even take a full listen of OneRepublic‘s new song, “KIDS” to know that it’s a hit! It has a great 80’s inspired synth beat, which makes it a perfect summer song (although it was released a bit late for that honor).

I really love anything Ryan Tedder does, and this is no exception. Though, if I’m honest, I hope their upcoming untitled album has more songs like their first single, “Wherever I Go,” a more pop leaning, traditional Ryan Tedder penned anthemic hit.

But seriously, when can I get this new album?

It really is a good GOOD life! @onerepublic on the @1027kiisfm #wangotango stage!
