There are a handful of artists that have been truly life-changing and give me goose-pimples when I hear them. And Jack Garratt is one of them.
I can’t even tell you how many times I lost my shit when I saw him at The Fonda a few months ago. I also recently realized I just missed his set when he opened for Mumford and Sons at The Forum. I’m beyond stoked to see him at Belasco Theater soon.
His album is one of my favorites from the past several years and is one I know I will be listening to for years to come. I can’t get enough of “Surprise Yourself,” “Weathered” and “Worry.” Really, the entire album is amazing, and even more so after seeing him play the songs live.
It frustrates me to no end that he’s not bigger and not getting the recognition he deserves in the US. He’s such a unique talent. And his laugh alone is worth an interview!
Do yourself a favor – watch this and pass it on!
