Ok, so in the past two years, I’ve seen Demi Lovato perform several times – from huge venues to smaller intimate rooms, and she can SING!
I know this, but I’m still always impressed by the richness of her voice. Yes, she screams a bit sometimes, but she’s able to pull back and deliver emotionally charged ballads as well. I heard her sing a cover of Ed Sheeran’s “Give Me Love” that gave me chills! She held her own when I saw her sing it live with Ed Sheeran as well.
Demi released the video to her brand new single, “Stone Cold” and it brilliantly showcases her vocal chops. I was a fan of the first two singles from her album, Confident, “Cool For The Summer,” and “Confident,” but “Stone Cold,” with the vocals, emotional delivery, and vocal prowess, solidifies Demi as more than a teen-pop star. I think this is that start of her career as a legitimate talent and force in the music industry. She’s been able to sell millions, but I think this song, along with the amazing performances (I mean, her performance at the GRAMMYs was insane!) will be a game-changer in her career!
