This might be the best video from a Late Night show this week!
And Alanis sounds AMAZING! She just released a super deluxe 20th Anniversary Edition of her album, Jagged Little Pill, and it’s an amazing 4 album set. It includes the 2005 Acoustic Album release, which is one of my favorite albums of that year. It’s the entire album, but acoustic and amazing.
It was 10 years ago that I saw Alanis for the first time, and it was well worth the 10 year wait, and 10 years later, still one of my favorite concerts. She played at the Walt Disney Concert Hall in Downtown LA, which is magical. Jason Mraz was her special opening act, and debuted songs and spoke about his upcoming sophomore album, Mr. A-Z, which is my favorite Mraz album to date. It was also the first time I heard “I’m Yours,” and was floored. It was actually released on his third album, and wayyyyy overplayed, but in 2005, it was super special.
Back to Alanis and James Corden — this is awesomeness. She’s got an amazing voice and I LOVE that she keeps the vocals true to the original record!
Oh, and if you’re not watching The Late Late Show with James Corden, you’re missing out and it’s kinda not cool.
