On Sunday, Hurts will be releasing “Sunday”, the fourth single from their debut album, Happiness.
It’s a great song from Hurts, and maintains the sound/synth heavy sound that Hurts has become known for. “Sunday” has elements of pop, particularly euro-pop, which makes the song very easily to listen to and also very catchy. The production on the song, and music video, is quite dramatic, but it works. I like Hurts, and “Sunday” is a good tune.
The duo recently performed “Sunday” on The Graham Norton Show, with a string section! It’s great when pop/synth acts play with an orchestra and do it well. The orchestra/band were also all women, and in all white – adding to the dramatics and style of the performance. Theo Hutchcraft also has a great voice, rich, deep and dramatic (especially at the 1:20 mark), and it works with the synth and pop sound.
