Jason Mraz is one of my favorite singer-songwriters and his song “Details In The Fabric” is just one of the many reasons. The song is from Jason’s third studio album, “We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things.”, which was released in 2008. It also features vocals by James Morrison, a talented singer-songwriter from the UK.
“Details In The Fabric”is one of my favorite songs from Jason Mraz (and he has quite a collection). The guy in the voicemail at the beginning and end of the song is Bushwalla, a singer-songwriter and good friend of Mraz. The song opens with a voicemail Bushwalla left Mraz after losing his temper while going through a tough time. Mraz, being a song-writer, wrote this song for Bushwalla to encourage and comfort him. And as heard in the voicemail at the end of the song, Bushwalla is feeling better and in a better mood. This song can heal people!
The song is quite emotional and filled with great advice. The lyrics of the song are some of the best, the song reads like a great advice column, with the message being that “everything will be fine, everything in no time at all”.
If you are having a tough day, or know someone who is going through something, this is definitely a song that will provide strength and comfort.
